We get as close as you can legally get and stop to take pictures from the sailboat. No crowds with groups of six maximum.

Brooklyn Bridge

We motor under the Brooklyn Bridge.

One World Trade Center

We sail across the Hudson towards One World Trade Center.

Ellis Island

We sail by Ellis Island.

Governors Island

We sail by Governors Island

For our second time in NYC we wanted to do something original and have not been disappointed! This sailing tour is amazing, we are only 6 onboard which is great if you want to avoid the tourist crowd and the views of the city are amazing! I would definitely do it again!

We can't recommend Brooklyn Sail or Ian (the owner/instructor) highly enough! Ian was so responsive and kind from the first email we sent him. He found a way to squeeze us in before the end of the season for a very special birthday sail for my husband, joined by our young kid. The sail was so fun, unforgettable, and educational for our whole family and kept our kid's attention. We learned so much (in an effortless, relaxed way) about sailing, safety, and even NYC history (despite having lived here for years). We also loved the parts of the sail when we just got to sit back, look around and enjoy the view. It made us want to come back ASAP for another sail. Definitely find a way to sail with Ian!
