The vast knowledge and trivial tidbits from the tour guide. She definitely made this trip memorable.

The tour guide was well-informed. She did a great job balancing humor with history. They were very courteous by helping us find the right drop off for the metro for our sleeping 4 year old. The bus was also very clean.

I booked this tour for my family during our trip to DC earlier this week, and I cannot say enough good things about it. TL/DR: This tour is an excellent use of time and money, and you should go. We only had two days in DC, and a friend recommended that I book a night monuments tour. When I began looking for one, I quickly became overwhelmed by the choices available. I picked this tour based on its length, the list of monuments visited, and the price. I could not possibly have made a better decision. The directions for where to meet the bus were clear, it arrived very timely, and we were underway just as dusk was falling. I was pleased that at the very beginning we were reminded that covid protocols require masking while on the bus. The bus was comfortable, the windows were large, and bottled water was available if we wanted it. Seats are two on each side, so my family of three split in two rows, but that was fine. Sally was the best guide that we could have hoped for. Her love of, and knowledge of the city and its history are deep and passionate, and she is both interesting and very well spoken. In addition to telling us about the monuments listed on the tour, she also told us about the various buildings and areas that we passed in the course of the drive. It's worth mentioning at this point that there is no "wrong" or "better" side of the bus to sit on. We stopped at the Capitol Building, and were able to go out onto the lawn for photos, and at the White House onto the Ellipse. Unless you have a camera with a more powerful zoom than mine, just enjoy the view of the White House without wasting a lot of time trying to get a photo - it is very small in the viewfinder. From there we visited the Iwo Jima Memorial, and the WWII memorial, which is absolutely *breathtaking* at night. For those who worry about such things, there are bathrooms available at the WWII memorial. On a three hour tour, such things weigh on the mind. We passed by the Jefferson Memorial on the way to Martin Luther King Jr.'s memorial, which is also stunning after dark. The last bus stop was at the Lincoln Memorial and Vietnam Memorial. As the last stop inherits any schedule slip if people are slow returning to the bus, if there is a name that you wish to locate on the wall, I recommend that you research where it is inscribed ahead of time so that you can go straight there. And of course, the Washington Monument is ever present in the sky at all of the stops. We were returned to our point of origin, to disperse back to wherever we came from. This is an absolutely marvelous tour to take. The monuments are illuminated beautifully, and you can take them in without fighting the glare of sunlight reflecting off white marble, or dealing with the press of the daytime crowds. Sally and Chris are a marvelous team, getting you around the city while telling you all about it. What could be a stultifying and boring recitation of dry facts in less able hands is a fascinating tale of our nation's history in Sally's. There were a number of things that I looked up when I got back to our hotel room, because she had piqued my interest. I could not possibly be happier with the tour I chose. I highly recommend it.
