There will be standing and walking during this tour. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather as much of the tour is outdoors. Umbrellas and layers are recommended.

The bus was clean and Chris and James (driver and guide) were great and knowledgeable. It was very cool to see the monuments at night. With the amazing lighting it looked like some monuments were actually meant to be viewed at night. However, I heard so little of what the tour guide was saying while we walked that I don’t think it would have been much different from viewing all the monuments on my own. The real value of this tour to me was having the bus shuttle me from monument to monument With 10 to 15 minutes to look around and then whisk me to the next. They tell you to stay close to the guide to hear, but the Group is big and the crowds are huge so it’s just impossible. If I were to do it again, I would do a private tour.

I have mixed feelings about the tour. Walter and Chuck were great. The problem myself and my fellow tourists ran into is they sold us tickets for the following day for the Washington monument but the tickets read the afternoon of, meaning they sold us tickets for the prior day. The ranger at the monument said they weren’t supposed to be doing this at all. That I’m not sure of but the negative reviews of not getting your add on tickets rang true. I’m sure they’ll have a rebuttal to this but I have 4 others they did this to. That said, the tour itself was good. Bring cash to tip if you plan to, they don’t take cash app or Venmo
