Flying Horses Carousel

The oldest platform carousel still operating in the United States. Originally located on Coney Island and moved to the Island in 1884.

Old Whaling Church

Built by fisherman when Edgartown was known as a major Whaling port.

Aquinnah Cliffs

A National Landmark known for it's multi colored clay cliffs.

Edgartown Lighthouse

Built in 1828 and was the Lighthouse Keepers home.

Martha's Vineyard Camp meeting Association (MVCMA)

19th Century religious movement where people with many religious backgrounds gathered for up to a week at a time. In the beginning of these gatherings children were not allowed to attend.

Joseph Sylvia State Beach

Watch as visitors and Islanders alike jump from the bridge in Jaws, filmed here on Martha's Vineyard.

Aquinnah Lighthouse

The only Lighthouse still operating on Martha's Vineyard.

Menemsha Public Beach

Was the location of Amity Island in Jaws. Menemsha was newly built in the 1930's but was wiped out during the great storm of 1938.

The tour company was great to work with - easy to get a hold of and communicated well. Our guide was highly knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible. It was a great way to see all the parts of Martha's Vineyard in a short amount of time. Only two stops and they were brief (15-20 minutes each) so leave extra time after your tour to go back to any areas you'd like to explore further.

My wife and I along with another couple made a week-long trip to Cape Cod and other areas. We devoted one day to a trip to Martha's Vineyard. We have learned over the past few years that the best way to see an area such as this is to take a guided tour, especially given that we can not do a lot of walking. Our choice of MV tours was a good one. We took the ferry from Woods Hole and arrived just before our scheduled tour was to begin; they were waiting for us. Our tour guide was Jim C. and he was excellent. His knowledge of the island runs deep thanks to the nearly half-century he has lived there. We saw a lot of amazing scenery and architecture and heard in-depth explanations of the history of the island. And we even got a bonus 10 minutes as our tour went over 3 hours. We got our money's worth for sure
