Phil was great! Lots of history and humor. Would definitely recommend! He even shared one of his dads jokes. 😉

It was my first trip to the island. I thought that Martha's Vineyard was beautiful and picturesque, but I rated my tour as POOR, after reading some of the other reviews. First of all, I didn't realize that the tour was supposed to last 3 hours, because it was scheduled for me. My tour lasted about an hour (maybe less)! My tour guide (whose name escapes me) spoke continuously, as if from a script. He imparted a lot of interesting information, but my personal "experience" was lacking. Passengers asked questions, but were asked to hold them until the end of the tour. I'm not certain, but it felt as if we were "cruising" through the streets at about 50/60 mph! We covered the entire island, but when the guide would say, "over here, on the left, or on the right, you'll see . . . " - we had already passed the site being explained/pointed out! No one could take any pictures! I was VERY disappointed that I'd spent $55 for what I received. My tour group was confined to the van. We stopped once, for lunch, and the entire 30-minute stop was spent in line at the Ladies Room, then in line to buy lunch, that I didn't have time to eat before reboarding the van! Lesson learned . . . If I ever return to Martha's Vineyard, I'll rent my own bike or car, and explore sites, shops and lighthouses on my own!

Phil was funny, informative and as a Martha’s Vineyard local, regaled us with many tales of the island! He pointed out celebrities’ homes, stopped for the most delectable lobster bisque we have ever tasted as well as a famous bakery where we enjoyed brownies and fed chicken little! I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the island, especially if it’s your first time here like it was for us! A great way to get to know the island on a rainy day!
