Flying Horses Carousel

The oldest platform carousel still operating in the United States. Originally located on Coney Island and moved to the Island in 1884.

Old Whaling Church

Built by fisherman when Edgartown was known as a major Whaling port.

Aquinnah Cliffs

A National Landmark known for it's multi colored clay cliffs.

Edgartown Lighthouse

Built in 1828 and was the Lighthouse Keepers home.

Martha's Vineyard Camp meeting Association (MVCMA)

19th Century religious movement where people with many religious backgrounds gathered for up to a week at a time. In the beginning of these gatherings children were not allowed to attend.

Joseph Sylvia State Beach

Watch as visitors and Islanders alike jump from the bridge in Jaws, filmed here on Martha's Vineyard.

Aquinnah Lighthouse

The only Lighthouse still operating on Martha's Vineyard.

Jim is an AMAZING tour guide!! Personable, funny and very knowledgeable about the island, it’s history and so much more!!! Great and easy way to see the island for the first time. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone!!

We took a 3 hour Martha’s Vineyard island tour with Rich H. He did a great job taking us to all 6 towns and giving us lots of interesting stories and anecdotes on the history of the island. I don’t think we would have appreciated MV as much, especially the up island towns. We loved Aquinnah and the Gay Head cliffs as well as Chilmark and West Tisbury. Rich did a great job driving as well and made it fun for our group that ranged from 6 yo to 86 yo.

Our tour guide Rich. Personable, knowledgeable, very good at what he does. He also had to deal with a perceived or real ventilation issue and handled it deftly as well
