3-hour Private Tour

Overview
Each tour is lead by an experienced Navajo guide, who is certified by the Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation Dept. and National Park Service. Each and everyone of our guides was born and raised in this Canyon De Chelly area, allowing them to gain a vast knowledge of its history to share with all our guests who visit this place we call home. As well as learning about the canyon's rich history, rock art sites and other archeological sites, you will hear stories and tales of life in the canyon and get a chance to visit our guide's families who still weave, farm, ranch, and continue to live a traditional Navajo lifestyle in this rural part of the southwest. We invite you to join one of our guides on a truly unique and one of a kind tour, and to support this 100% NAVAJO OWNED and OPERATED SMALL BUSINESS!! Ahéhee' (thank you)

Our driver Leeander was very knowledge and personable. He answered any questions we had regarding the area and culture of the Navajo people. We will definitely recommend Beauty Way tours to our friends and plan on booking with Beauty Way for any future trips. It was great!!!

The best 3 hour tour and worth the money. TJ our native guide was knowledgeable, personable, skilled driver in the muddy canyon, and happy to be our guide. The canyon was spectacular and so much interesting to hear the stories.

TJ was a fantastic guide as we enjoyed a four-hour tour on a crisp late-September day. His grandparents were full-time residents of the canyon and TJ spent a lot of time working and exploring in the canyon throughout his life. As a result, we learned about botany, history, warfare, clan linkages, medicine, zoology, property law and quicksand. TJ's open-air vehicle made for amazing, unobstructed views and the trick he taught us about how to harvest prickly pear was put to immediate use when we got home. We stayed at and ate at the Thunderbird Lodge inside the Canyon. Combined with TJ's tour, we really felt like we had really immersed ourselves in the de Chelly experience.
