3-hour Private Tour

Overview
Each tour is lead by an experienced Navajo guide, who is certified by the Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation Dept. and National Park Service. Each and everyone of our guides was born and raised in this Canyon De Chelly area, allowing them to gain a vast knowledge of its history to share with all our guests who visit this place we call home. As well as learning about the canyon's rich history, rock art sites and other archeological sites, you will hear stories and tales of life in the canyon and get a chance to visit our guide's families who still weave, farm, ranch, and continue to live a traditional Navajo lifestyle in this rural part of the southwest. We invite you to join one of our guides on a truly unique and one of a kind tour, and to support this 100% NAVAJO OWNED and OPERATED SMALL BUSINESS!! Ahéhee' (thank you)

Besides the magnificent view of the canyon, which was stunning at every turn, we loved the open and personable style of both our guides, Leander and Ben (for logistics, we swapped part way through and got to work with them both!) They provided interesting history and personal insights the whole way and easily answered our questions - we just liked them a whole lot and felt they really cared about sharing their knowledge and their love of the land and culture. Plus Ben drove through ruts and washes like a champ, so that part was pretty exciting too! Oh and did we mention there are horses??

First of all there were no teens on this trip. The categories don’t fit our group: 3 sisters in their 70’s had a fabulous 5 hour jeep tour with TJ. He was knowledgeable, friendly, thoughtful and kind. We learned about the canyon, about Navajo history, traditions, stories, about life in the canyon, and about the flora and fauna. We couldn’t stop talking about how much we enjoyed it.

Leander was an amazing guide! He taught us a lot about the Navajo culture and beliefs. She was very informative and knowledgeable. It was very fun to hear so much about the area. We learned a lot! I highly recommend this tour as a way to really get to know this beautiful canyon
