Our family had the most incredible experience on our 3-hour manatee swim with Go Local Manatee Tours, and we canāt recommend them enough! We took the 10 AM tour with our group of four, and from the moment we arrived, Peter and Lacey made sure everything was perfect.
There was a slight delay as we waited for a replacement cameraman, but Lacey, on her day off, stepped in without hesitationāand she was absolutely fantastic! She was calm, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful, especially with our kids. She patiently guided them in the water, making sure they were positioned correctly for the best experience. Her love for the manatees and the local area really shined through as she shared so much fascinating information with us along the way.
The highlight? We spent an entire hour swimming alongside a gentle female manatee! Watching her move gracefully through the water was nothing short of magical. We also had the chance to observe a manatee sleeping in one of the springs, which was such a peaceful and unique sight. Lacey then took us to another breathtaking spring with crystal-clear water, where we explored and took in the beauty of the area.
Since we visited in March, the warmer weather meant we only saw about five manatees, but the intimacy of the experience more than made up for it. Being able to get up close, swim with these amazing creatures, and explore the springs was something weāll never forget. In fact, our kids said this was one of the best things theyāve ever done in their lives!
To top it all off, after getting out of the water, Peter welcomed us back with hot cocoa, which was such a thoughtful and cozy touch.
If youāre considering a manatee tour, donāt hesitateābook with Go Local Manatee Tours! This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and we wouldnāt trade it for anything!
