3 Hours Electric Bike Tour of Seattle's Waterways, Nature and Neighborhoods

Overview
The electric bikes make taking a three hour tour effortlessly. You will ease up the hills of Seattle while smiling. After the tour you will have seen many unique sites, expanded your knowledge of the waterways, the animals of the Sound and the neighborhoods, and you will have had an enjoyable and memorable experience that's truly all about Seattle. The electric bikes allow for close up viewing of the gardens, boat docks and other sites. Your guide is a local. I grew up in Seattle, taught in Seattle schools, I care about the city and the natural settings and continue to build my knowledge of Seattle. The helmets have an intercom system that helps us communicate while riding the bikes. Your safety is a priority, we stick mainly to bike paths and lightly traveled roads. Please check out the reviews on my website. Must be 18 to take the tour. The bikes are only designed for adults.

What To Expect
1
Sunset Hill Park
This is a view spot of the water and mountains. On a clear day you can see the Olympic Mountains, West Point Lighthouse and the ferries crossing the Sound. You can hear the seals barking and watch the cargo and tugboats float by. I tell you all I know about Seattle in 10 minutes and highlight the some of the most charismatic creatures that inhabit our waterways.
2
Ballard
The Ballard Locks are Seattle's 3rd most popular attraction. We walk the bikes through the Carl English Botanical Gardens before seeing the boats pass through the locks. The locks opened in 1917 and connects salt water to the fresh water of Lake Washington. It's the busiest lock in the United States and also popular with migrating salmon and the seals, sea lions, eagles, and osprey who come for an easy meal. There's a fish ladder with an underwater viewing gallery.
3
Fishermen's Terminal
Seattle 's roots are in the fishing industry and the Fishermen's Terminal is the place to see real live fishermen and fisherwomen, and the Alaskan fishing fleet. 50% of all seafood sold in the United States is associated with this marina. We can ride the electric bikes all the way down the docks and get right up to the boats. I'll tell you how salmon fishing operates and why the Alaskan fishermen spend the off-season in Seattle rather than just stay in Alaska.
4
Wallingford Center
Not the Center but Gasworks Park in the Wallingford neighborhood. Favorite place to take pictures and on the 4th of July watch the fireworks. It was a gasification plant, the old machines are still there. There a great view of the city, the Space Needle and I'll point out the Sleepless in Seattle houseboat.

One of the best parts of our trip to Seattle. Our guide, a retired school teacher, was so pleasant and informative. We enjoyed all the places that we visited especially because they were not touristy places of downtown. The best places we went were Locks and Dam, the Oil Refinery Park, the Fishing Terminal, the neighborhoods, paths along rivers and canals and more. Would highly recommend it to anyone on their first, second or third trip to Seattle. The electric bikes were very easy to ride and navigate even if you are just an occasional bike rider. It's like riding a bike...you never forget.
