Overview

As the leaders in the industry we feel it is our duty to have all our tours conducted by professionals. Our Manatee snorkel tours are guided by USCG Captain as well as a licensed and insured dive professional. Our in water professionals are trained as first responders, with First aid, CPR, AED administration and in-water rescue training. Captain and guides are also trained in manatee manners, through the Manatee Eco Tourism Association in coordination with United States Fish and Wildlife Service. The training allows us to lead the industry by operating the saftest tours on the water for our guest and manatees alike.

I can’t say enough good things about captain mikes!!!! The building was easy to find (not being from the area I was very thankful for this) and the staff was so friendly!! We were running a little late, called and let them know, and they were extremely easygoing and accommodating! Which was amazing because we drove 3 hours for this experience and it was SO WORTH IT. The wetsuits were brand new (side note:they were 5mm wetsuits so we stayed extra warm and extra buoyant) and so were the snorkel and mask. Our guide however was not brand new and was extremely experienced!! Captain John was our in water guide and he made sure that everyone in our group had a close encounter all while being extremely respectful. Thank you captain John for educating us and giving us a once in a lifetime experience! I felt that we had more than enough time in the water and we saw several manatees super up close!! One of which was a big pregnant momma who hung out close by and was rolling around in the water!! As soon as we got out of the water Captain Tom had the world’s best hot chocolate waiting for us for our short boat ride back. (: 20/10 experience!!!

Our family of five were the only ones on the 7.00 a.m. tour and had the most wonderful experience with the manatees coming up very close and getting undisturbed and great interaction with these wonderful creatures. Captain Mike and our guide Morgan did their very best to make this an unforgettable experience.

Many, many thanks to Ross for the great day! We loved snorkeling with the Manatees. And our guide Ross was just great. We really liked that we were only a small group of 6 people. I miss those cute manatees already. We would definitely come back!
