What To Expect

Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures

You'll feel like you are flying as you race across the water surface at speeds of up to 45 miles per hour on a 30- or 60-minute ride. The 17-seater airboat lets you see parts of the wetlands inaccessible by car, while feeling the thrill of speeding across the water with the wind in your hair.

We decided that it would be rude to visit Florida and not go on an airboat. We chose boggy creek because it’s closeness to where we were staying and the additional bonus of a recreation of an Indian village/ encampment. The village and talk provided was superb, we learned lots about the local tribe and how they lived before the arrival of the Spanish. We chose a 1 hour airboat ride which was everything we hoped for, Captain Dave was knowledgable about the wildlife, the airboat was fast and it was great being on the lake. If you are visiting Florida I would recommend an airboat ride, especially at boggy creek.

Took an Airboat ride for 30 mins. Guide was great at finding us a few alligators, blue heron, bald eagle, lots of lily pads with flowers. We cut through the water with a lot of speed and our guide handled the boat with ease.

We really enjoyed our one-hour tour of the lake. The guide was very knowledgeable and handled the airboat well. The speed was fun and provided a welcome breeze on a hot, humid day. The guide answered many, many questions about the lake and wildlife and did an excellent job of spotting lots of wildlife. He was careful to stop the boat so we could observe and was very respectful of the wildlife and their habitat. The location is very family-friendly with a great restaurant (the brisket and beans is a hearty lunch), outdoor games, a gator collection that you can feed and an Indian village that has almost-hourly presentations. Time is a limited resource in this world; this company is definitely worth the time we spent there!
