We kayaked with the Manatees In Crystal River Fl. We did see quite a few of them but there we so many gas tour boat it really put a damper on the experience plus I think the gas boats are so harmful for the environment. It is was an awesome day.

I would give them a higher rating but for me in my 70s, the distance was too far to three sisters and it was all houses along the coastline very built up. Too bad they sold all that coastline. As far as the service the guys were great. The kayaks were old but comfortable.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review but 3 stars because 1 1/4 miles one way to the springs being too far is a little unfair. How far are you expecting to paddle in a kayak?!? There are several places to kayak that are closer so three stars for that is not really accurate. Thank you for visiting us though :)

We hired four single kayaks for four adults for a three-hour slot and booked in at the office in Crystal River, where some very pleasant staff issued us with snorkels and masks. We were given an iPad and all asked to watch two videos about safety and the rules about Manatees and other wildlife. We were directed to a venue with car parking a short distance away, where we set off from the launch area onto Crystal River itself. The water was calm and shallow. We paddled into Kings Bay and entered some of the small rivers that lead to various springs where you could swim in clear safe waters. A map was provided when we collected the kayaks along with buoyancy aids although we didn't see many others wearing them. The kayaks were in good condition as were the hired snorkels and masks. Three hours was enough and we all really enjoyed ourselves. We felt that it was a great value for money trip.
