It was a long way from Waikoloa, and we had to leave before 6am, which was a pain, but the drive in the morning glow was pleasant. There was a Japanese staff member, so we were able to listen to the initial explanation briefly, but the instructor only spoke English, so my family of four felt like we were almost completely left out of the explanation. When the instructor returned to the starting point because the American grandfather had to leave midway, we had to wait offshore for about 20 anxious minutes. Diving from the lava caves and lava cliffs was great because it allowed us to feel the greatness and formations of nature. We didn't see any sea turtles, but we were impressed by the many coral reefs and tropical fish we saw while snorkeling. My family was feeling sick from lack of sleep and drinking some seawater. We burned more than we expected after spending four hours on the sea, so sunburn measures are essential. Long-sleeved soccer undershirts were effective. However, we were wearing shorts, so we got a lot of sunburn from the knees down. I thought it would be better if there were a short course, or if there was a choice between an English guide and a Japanese guide. It is necessary to make it clear that there is no place to change clothes or take a shower.

Thank you for submitting a review. We are happy that you had a good time. We do understand
that you had a language problem and that is why we offer the tour to Japanese in Japanese but you chose the English language tour. As we had a Japanese language tour that day, the Japanese speaking guide was able to take the time to provide some information to you before resuming the Japanese tour. We have been conducting kayak tours in English and Japanese tours for many years so we designed the Japanese tour to be a bit slower and easier because we have learned what is most comfortable for most Japanese couples and families. We are glad you mentioned enjoying seeing many tropical fish. It was unfortunate not to see turtles on that day but as you know, they are wild!
Your advice about using sunscreen is on point. The sun can be quite strong. Also, your advice about clothing is correct. We recommend long sleeve rash guard (shirts). Mahalo!
