We expected this to be a spectacular experience and it did not disappoint. The staff at Maverick were top notch. We were able to take reservation through chat line which was very smooth. Front desk staff were very friendly. JC, our pilot, was awesome. He made the trip very smooth, was super friendly especially to our children and provided great information! Well worth the money as you really appreciate the beauty and vastness of the Canyon. I heard a lot of negative reviews on how terrible or different the experience is depending on where you sit. however I was in the back and I think I had just as great a view as anyone in the helicopter. the only difference with being in the front row was you got to see out of some panels by your feet. But being in the back row did NOT keep me from experiencing all that the ride had to offer.

A helicopter ride was on my bucket list so when we decided to visit the Grand Canyon, I decided to book this tour. It was not cheap but I do believe I really got a feel for the magnitude of the canyon. We took off from the Grand Canyon airport so we were just minutes from the rim. The pilot told us when to turn our video on so we could take the shot of us going over the edge which was SO totally cool. We flew along the river, over to the North Rim (which was closed for the season) and saw a herd of bison bedding down. The pilot pointed out the various formations and gave us some history of the area. Seats in the helicopter are assigned by the computer to keep the weigh evenly distributed but there are good views from all seats. I was seated in the center front seat, next to the pilot. I had pretty good views and got some awesome photos. I felt very safe the entire time!
