Airport facility and helicopter are good quality. The pilot was not engaging and the quality of the view is very much governed by where you are seated by Maverick. The flight route we took basically looped slowly from Tusayan right to left over the canyon. We were seated on the right hand side and feel the view would be much better on the left side behind the pilot - you dont get to choose because of the way Maverick distribute the passengers/weight?. We spent too much time travelling slowly over the south forest and felt if they flew quicker to & from the canyon and did regular hovering rotations of the helicopter at strategic points the experience would be shared and much better. The views and sensations from land at the many rim locations easily accessible by foot and by using the free shuttle bus service (driven by enthusiastic and engaged drivers) are exceptional and we consider overall much better than those of our helicopter experience.

Thank you for your feedback. For your information, the airspace over Grand Canyon National Park is some of the strictest and most heavily regulated airspace in the country and flight route we (and all other carriers) take is dictated by the FAA. Our helicopters feature wraparound glass and the views of the canyon are the same on both sides of the helicopter. We are sorry that you felt that the experience was overrated.

First class firm. A+. No issues whatsoever. 3 fellow pasengers one family all hawking and coughing refused to stand down. Weird. I paid $318 nonrefundable days before, and decided at 66 and diabetic with stuff out there like covid, flu, RSV not to go for 45 minutes in the same small cabin. Walked away. Should have been them. I just felt really bad for the pilot. Wow people can be SO self centered and thoughtless. Still shaking my head. No recourse whatsoever. Destroyed a perfect Grand Canyon trip. I am a previous medevac pilot, the other side of the coin. Bummed, but healthy.

The pilot was great, very friendly and helpful! We had beautiful weather and I got to sit up front, so lots of incredible views! We saw a lot in a short amount of time. I enjoyed seeing the snow on the north rim, the river, and south rim. It was my first time here and I’ve dreamed of going on a helicopter ride - it was a wonderful experience!
