I am retired US Army and have flown on helicopters numerous times; however, my wife had never flown in a helicopter. I was somewhat concerned, especially since she also often suffers from motion sickness. However, she thoroughly loved our 45-min flight over the Grand Canyon - stating that it was her favorite part about our vacation. The weather was perfect (not to hot, not too cold, nary a cloud in the sky, and little or no wind). Our pilot was friendly and provided us with some excellent information regarding the canyon, the Colorado River, and different vegetation on the South and North rims. All in all, it was an excellent experience, and definitely worth the money and time before seeing the National Park from the ground.
