5-Hour Traverse City Wine Tour: 4 Wineries on Old Mission Peninsula

Overview
Sit back and enjoy the gentle slopes, winding country roads and Caribbean-like views on a Traverse City Wine Tour. The Magic Shuttle Bus is a chauffeur service with an entire fleet ready to take your group around Old Mission Peninsula.

The 45th parallel, is home to the worlds most famous wine-making regions AND Traverse City. Grapevines planted in the region enjoy the perfect amount of sunlight for optimal growth. When coupled with micro-climates created by Grand Traverse Bay, and fertile soil, this sets the perfect stage for delicious award-winning wines that rival centuries-old grapes produced in Europe & California.

My husband and I went on the Traverse City 5 Hour Wine Tour with The Magic Shuttle Bus Company in August. We called the company the week prior to this tour to confirm the social distancing and precautions being taken during the COVID-19 pandemic. We were advised that all drivers wear masks in public areas (and it was confirmed via phone that this included ON the bus), that face masks are required for travelers, and that the vehicles are regularly sanitized, etc. We felt reassured to book this trip based on the information provided. Based on this information, you can imagine our shock when we went to get on the bus and introduce ourselves to our driver Dan and he was not wearing a mask on the bus. We asked him what precautions he will be taking on the bus, which really upset him and he screamed ā€œI donā€™t wear masks. I donā€™t care what you do, but I will not be wearing a mask on my bus!ā€ He then proceeded to fake cough in my husbandā€™s face. When Dan realized how upset we were at this and were deciding to leave or go to the other shuttle, he realized we were going to make an issue of this and he got out of the bus, got extremely close to my husband, and actually tried to forcefully shake his handā€¦ in a pandemic! This whole interaction was so unprofessional and a very poor representation of the company. We e-mailed the owner after our trip and never received a response back on this incident. We did go on the other shuttle and had a great time. The shuttle driver, Mike, was great! Very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about the Traverse City area and wineries. He also wore his mask the whole time and social distanced. We greatly appreciated that.
