70-Minute Guided Downtown Eureka Springs Walking Tour

Overview
The tour offers a chance to learn about the history of Downtown Eureka Springs - starting before the founding of the town, the people who have made history downtown, and the unique geography of three underground systems - caves and cliffs, the Mud Street rebuild, and the creek that runs under it all.

Walking through the entertainment and shopping district, you get a feel for life as it was, the art district it is now, and see the hidden treasures throughout. Told in stories and vignettes along the way, the tour is a treat for all ages.

You visit an intact underground storefront covered over in the making of the Underground. This is only open to visitors to our tour. This is not an adventure tour. The underground systems are explained, but only the underground storefront is visited.

David made it hear bearable. He was extremely hospitable and great! I must say, he looks like a suave version of George Clooney.

Oh, that David! He's an exceptional tour guide, but all of them are. It has been hot as heck out here and we are happy you came Downtown to see all that we have and had throughout history. Your ticket supports the work of Main Street Eureka Springs a 501c3 nonprofit.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable of Eureka Springs History even though he was not from there. We expected to see "underground" since it is in the name but frankly, that is a misleading word. We only spent a few minutes in what some could consider underground and it was the basement of a building. We enjoyed the tour though and it was interesting. I would recommend it but you need to know up front...you won't be exploring underground tunnels or anything like that.

Glad you enjoyed the tour and getting to know our amazing little town. Sorry you didnt enjoy the bathhouse tunnels and such as much as some people do. It is certainly not a spelunking experience, but we do enjoy showing people the underbelly of the city. Hope you can come visit again sometime.

A fun and interesting tour by David, was quite enjoyable! A hot afternoon but we stayed in the shade for the most part.

Shade management is a big part of what we do in the summer. Glad you enjoyed.
