What To Expect

American Museum of Natural History

You will meet your highly-qualified kid-friendly guide just outside the American Museum of Natural History, and start this memorable adventure! One of the main highlights of the museum is constituted by one of the finest collections of dinosaur fossils in the world, with some exhibits more than 60-million years old. You will learn all about the awe-inspiring Tyrannosaurus Rex, one of the most terrifying predators that ever lived. With its 6-inch-long teeth, it was able to devour smaller dinosaurs in a matter of minutes. The dinosaur collection also features a 65-million-year-old Triceratops, a number of dinosaur mummies and much more besides.

American Museum of Natural History

Another hugely popular section of the museum is known as the Scales of the Universe, and here you can get an idea of the vast range of sizes in the universe, from subatomic particles right through to the largest objects observable in space. Other wonders of the natural world that you will have the opportunity to admire include a giant model of blue whale, and a section of a giant sequoia tree which can can offer a glance at over 1,400 years of history!

Only reason it’s a 4 instead 5 is that we paid for skip the line and ended up in a line. The line did move fairly quickly but we were expecting no line. The tour itself was amazing and very educational. Our guide was Riley and she was very friendly and great w the kids. She knew the museum and took us to all the cool spots and told us information we otherwise wouldn’t have gotten. Thanks Riley!!!
