We thoroughly enjoyed the journey up to the Arctic Circle. Dave our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the Alaska landscape, environment and ecosystem. He shared stories about the history and answered our questions along the way stopping at interesting areas as we drove. Even though it was a long day the scenery and information made the day enjoyable.

Reaching the Arctic Circle was on my bucket list and thankfully the weather cooperated. The driver was very nice and informative. We were a bit disappointed that we did not see any wildlife after a very long drive. However, the bigger negative was that we got a flat tire on the way back. That happens, but the big problem was that the spare on the shuttle was not for that shuttle (wrong size) and thankfully the driver was able to plug the tire and get us back safely after a couple of wasted hours. The company needs to inspect their vehicles and make sure they are in optimum condition for transporting passengers.

We got to view Denali when we came back into Fairbanks. We also saw a black bear which Paul turned around so we could see it. The bear then walked across the road in front of us.
