A Day in Amish Country

Overview
Lancaster County is home to a fascinating culture nestled in the rural farmlands outside of Philadelphia. Join our tour to learn about the fascinating history and complex lifestyle of the Amish community.

Your tour starts with a ride in our comfortable van out to the idyllic countryside of Lancaster County, where horse and buggies on the roads and farmers in the fields are common sights. You will be fully immersed in their way of life with a visit to the Amish Village Museum, a preserved Amish homestead that is now open to the public.

Come with an appetite as you enjoy some homemade Amish cooking at a local restaurant. Afterwards, you'll have a chance to savor some yummy sweet treats like whoopie pies and shoo fly pies from a local bakery.

We’ll have time for stops in small towns highlighting Amish-made goods, including quilt shops and road-side stands. Best yet, you’ll have the chance to support the community with any purchases, with unique options recommended by your guide!

A GREAT experience with an even greater tour guide! Alex was so very informative, intuitive and patient while driving and guiding us through the Lancaster countryside. Super informative with lots of stops for shopping and eating the local Amish wares. I learned as much during the one-way hour and a half car ride as I had anticipated learning during the whole day. A wonderful experience with a small intimate group which was better than expected. Thank you, Alex!

A wonderful country experience not only to see Amish culture but to see the Pennsylvanian countryside and life outside the city

Tom was very knowledgeable from the big picture info about the Amish to specific things about the families and business in Lancaster County. He has evidently fostered relationships with many in the community which made the experience extra-enjoyable. It seemed like we were just visiting there with an old friend rather than a tour guide we had just met.
