Curious about Portland's history with railroads, fires, wars, famous poets and Hollywood producers? Join us for a Walk Through Time! This tour begins on Commercial Street and continues for 2 hours through the historic Old Port, downtown and waterfront areas, sharing highlights of Portland's history since 1632.

Some of the locations we may feature on your tour include; the lobster statue, the home of Henry Wadsworth-Longfellow and his place of worship, the Eastern Cemetery, the Abyssinian Church, the U.S. Customs House and more.

***Tour duration is two "ish" hours, based on guest engagement and pace of the group. Planning on 2.5 hours for arriving early to check-in and make it back to your vehicle post tour is recommended.

We booked this walking tour on the spur of the moment with visiting friends. Ross was an incredible tour guide and “made” the experience! It’s clear that he is passionate about the history of Portland and he loves what he does! The tour was as advertised, and although it was a very hot day, Ross kept us to the shade as much as possible, and to be honest, he was so engaging that we barely noticed the heat. We learned a lot about the city, and were even treated to a shanty or two. It was a very doable walk for our group of 60 somethings. We all loved it and highly recommend both the tour and Ross if you are lucky enough to get him!

Ross was great and I enjoyed the tour and meeting new people. Being a Sunday so me places were closed. Overall had a nice experience!
