Curious about Portland's history with railroads, fires, wars, famous poets and Hollywood producers? Join us for a Walk Through Time! This tour begins on Commercial Street and continues for 2 hours through the historic Old Port, downtown and waterfront areas, sharing highlights of Portland's history since 1632.

Some of the locations we may feature on your tour include; the lobster statue, the home of Henry Wadsworth-Longfellow and his place of worship, the Eastern Cemetery, the Abyssinian Church, the U.S. Customs House and more.

***Tour duration is two "ish" hours, based on guest engagement and pace of the group. Planning on 2.5 hours for arriving early to check-in and make it back to your vehicle post tour is recommended.

We enjoyed this tour so much. Marcia was a great guide and shared some much great information and also made it very fun. There is a lot of walking up hill so be prepared and take a water bottle! The stop at the Press hotel was a great break. At the end of the tour we walked back toward the starting area and Marcia pointed out several restaurants. They were great suggestions and we went back to one of them a second time on our trip. This is a great tour to do at the start of your trip as it will give you a great lay of the town and make it easier to navigate when walking. Our favorite piece of info was the ballast blocks on Exchange St. We are looking forward to a return trip next year and doing another tour through this company.
