We just took the Walk Through Time tour with Mike and canā€™t recommend it highly enough. Not only was he personable and very knowledgeable about Portland and its history, he also took the time to give us fantastic restaurant recommendations and showed us a fantastic place to find local beers. We had a phenomenal time and learned a ton. If you come across this review, thanks again, Mike!

Mike did a fantastic job. Its was a cold and rainy morning and he noticed that the participants were finished and being the great host he was he graciously allowed us to finish early. Thanks Mike!

Mike was a wonderful guide -- friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. The walk was not a huge distance, but it touched on a variety of different time periods, cultural groups, and civic or economic topics. We did this on the first morning we were visiting, and it really provided a useful orientation to the layout of the city and character of the different neighborhoods in addition to the historical perspective. The tour lasted close to 2.5 hours (so definitely pay attention to the parking advise and don't park at a meter unless it's a Sunday or holiday). Since we finished at 12:30 pm, after the tour Mike even gave restaurant recommendations for places we might want to have lunch!

Hi Holly! Love your short and sweet description of your experience with Mike (we may borrow it!). The history tours are Mike's personal passion project and that really shines through. Thanks for joining us on a Walk Through Time history tour and happy to hear you enjoyed his further recommends on how to wine and dine during your visit.
