Acadia Full Day Small Group Tour

Overview

Take a tour that lets you immerse yourself in the park. Our guides are master naturalists, botanists, geologists, historians, and - most importantly - relentlessly curious! This is not just a sightseeing tour, it's a day all about learning and connection.

Today's tour includes 4-6 miles of walks and hikes at various points of interest.

Join your guide for a full day visiting the land and sea of Acadia National Park. Each day is planned based on tides and your group to make the most of your day. Your tour will include short hikes at iconic destinations such as the Ocean Path, Thunder Hole, Bubble Rock, and Jordan Pond, while also leaving time to hike on the trails and away from crowds. Along the way, your naturalist guide will share stories of Acadia’s history, explain its natural features, and share information about its flora and fauna.

Groups are capped at 8 adventurers so you can get a truly immersive and personal experience.

What To Expect

Ocean Path

We'll walk along the ocean path taking in beautiful views of the sea. Our hike includes a visit to Thunder Hole. Expect to hike for about 2 hours on mild to moderate trail.

Thunder Hole

We'll visit the iconic Thunder Hole on our walk.

Jordan Pond

We'll visit Jordan Pond for an enjoyable walk. This is also where we'll eat a picnic lunch. You can even grab famous popover!

Somes Sound

We'll have our lunches at the beautiful Somes Sound.

Hunters Beach

We'll walk along one of our favorite secret spots to see marine wildlife.

This is a must do tour. Our guide Ash was absolutely fantastic. She made us all feel like family from her first smile and asking all about the 6 of us. Her knowledge of the park and history came so naturally you would have thought this young woman had lived there her whole life! When she spoke, nothing sounded like a "memorized speech" at each stop. She also knew so much more than just the history, stopping at plants and trees explaining the differences. Ash showed us the different kinds of kelp, differences in rock formations and color and how they were formed. It appeared she had degrees as a naturalist, botanist, marine biologist, and geologist which she did not, but certainly studied all these areas extensively. Ash truly made Acadia come alive for all of us. On a scale of 10, Ash was an 11, so as for her if possible!! She was a true gem.

Our naturalist guide Hailey was excellent! She was so informative and passionate about explaining what we were experiencing from local history, geology, flora and fauna in the park. She was very personable and answered our many questions that made it a fun filled day including selecting an amazing lunch spot. A good balance of hiking versus touring in the van. Met wonderful traveling companions. Highly recommended. Only criticism is the high price and no cancellation policy.
