We visit Estes a couple times a year - but this was a new experience since they just opened around Memorial Day. Once the kids saw it - we had to try it. We are all in very good shape, but we aren't used to the altitude. This course really kicked our butts - it is a workout! The great thing is you work the course at your own pace and you can choose which of the elements you want to do so all skill levels can participate at the same time. The staff and set-up is geared toward safety, so the only challenge is your own internal limits. All ages were on the course and they give you ample time to experience everything. During mid day it can get pretty busy, which can limit the path you take through the course - but they manage their group size and phase groups off and on which make it work. They have water available to buy - but it is helpful to have your own water and plenty of it with the dry mountain air.

We stayed in Estes Park to do some hiking in the Rockies and Murphy's Resort recommended Open Air Adventure Park to us. There were four of us ages (44,14,14 and 9). We had an awesome time. The staff was extremely professional, friendly and helpful. They went at extreme lengths to teach you about safety. Throughout the course you NEVER feel unsafe. The course really tests your balance and strength. I would absolutely recommend wearing gloves. This is a family run business and I met one of the owners who was very nice and excited about her new business. I highly recommend taking an hour and a half out of your day and try this. A must do!

We spent 10 days in Estes park and upon our arrival our boys saw the outdoor adventure park and begged us to let them do it. During our stay we went and talked to Daniel and the staff at the park and they were very helpful and professional. We went to tackle the park one afternoon and the weather turned bad so we had to reschedule to the next morning. At the time it was just going to be our boys, but once we got there we all decided to take the challenge. We, the parents, and the teenage boys loved this adventure. I'm not sure who loved it more, the parents or the kids. It was so fun and a week later we are still talking about this and we just received the pictures from the park in an email. I would do this again and highly recommend this to anyone young or older to take the challenge. Two of us are scared of heights in our family and we didn't think twice about that once we got up there and started.
