My husband and I recently went on vacation in Maui and then on the Big Island. We went to the Old Lahaina Luau on Maui, and it was awesome. So, we were not sure how this one was going to compare. It was like someone went to Walmart and offered free food and a show. A lot of the people there just didn't look good. They (and a lot of the workers at the luau) were just dressed like they didn't care. We just sat wherever we wanted. The tables were very small. The staff were wearing ugly Hawaiian shirts that looked cheap with baggy pants. They were not friendly and acted like they were tired of doing this luau. The food was not that good, and there was not a good variety. They did not have a good variety of drinks either. They had big buckets of Mai Tais and fruit punch (which was probably Hawaiian Punch). It was lightly raining off and on (which isn't their fault), and that didn't help the situation. The show was just "ok." We like the fire dancer guy. He was good. We enjoyed looking at the sunset in the distance too. After going the the Old Lahaina Luau on Maui, this one was just not that good. We would never go to this one again and do not recommend anyone going to it either.

The grounds were beautiful and the show started just as the sun was setting which made for a gorgeous evening. Parking was only $3. The food was excellent with several options. The performers did an excellent job. We had went to another Luau while in Honolulu and we felt this one was much better and it was half the price.

We really can't compare this to others as we had not done one before. The price seemed a little high, but comparing it to many others, it seems to be in the neighborhood. The food was really, really good, and we met a nice family at our table who we enjoyed visiting with. The entertainment was very good and out family had a good time.
