There was 7 of us (2 seniors, 3 adult children and 2 grandsons ages 4 & 6) and I had paid for VIP seating and this was definitely an evening of good and bad. The good - The Location - was amazing with the backdrop of the Pacific and spectacular sunset. The Table was well worth paying the upgrade as it meant we could all comfortably see the show from the front row. The Server - was hard working and tried to ensure that we had drinks throughout. Although rushed, he tried to converse and was polite and friendly with the little ones. The Show - was thoughtfully and cheerfully presented giving an overview of the islands. The dancers were excellent, particularly the Fire Dance which left the boys entranced. Okay, now the bad. The Service - although our server tried his best, everyone appeared rushed and over-worked. The Food - mediocre at best. The fish was dry and inedible, the pork fatty, the beef had good flavor but chewy. Cleanliness/Sanitation - non existing. The food which was served buffet style was uncovered with no sneeze guards, some of the plates had grease smear marks, same went for the glasses some of which had cracks in the plastic. I saw no staff using sanitizer. Overall, if you want to see a good hula show, by all means choose this one but eat before you go.
