We did a Luau at the Royal Kona Resort on the Big Island. The check in process was smooth. You get a wrist band and shown to your table. Right away, waiters came by with drinks. Non alcoholic drinks like soda, tea, guava, passion fruit is included. The buffet food was also surprisingly good. The pulled pork was especially memorable but dishes include mahi mahi, beef, pork with rice. After the meal, the show started. I was disappointed to not being able to see the ceremony with the pig. The show was good. There was only 1 fire dancer though and I thought there would be multiple fire dancers. Overall, it was a fun evening.

The food was great, plentiful, and taste well. They served 3 proteins with side dishes. I wish we could have had 2 choices for dessert. The location is amazing and gorgeous. The event began at 5pm, which made it hard to see the stage from the sunshine. If they built the stage with a higher back, iT would have enclosed the reflection for better sight. I wish they gave us traditional leis. The experience was amazing to end our first adventure in Hawaii.

Wasnā€™t worth the money. Went because my husband has never been to one before, he wasnā€™t too impressed. Over stood tickets, so it was very packed. Tables were small and very cramped. Save your money and do something better!
