We had a group of 19 attend and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. The staff were super friendly and Mai Tai drinks were brought table-side with regularity. The food was pretty good, with things like rice, fresh fish, teriyaki meat, pulled pork, steamed veggies, fresh pineapple, etc. The dancers were very talented and overall the entertainment was great. The ā€œfire guyā€ was pretty amazing for sure. The only reason I didnā€™t rate the experience with five stars is because there was little-to-no shade available and we were all roasting. Luckily we brought sunscreen!! About an hour into the event the sun went behind a cloud for about half an hour and we were all much happier! Overall, it was a very good luau and we would recommend it. (PS. Youā€™ll have to pay $5 for parking at the hotel)

Although quite spendy, we very much enjoyed our time at the luau! I grew up on Maui and now live on the mainland. Sadly it has been years since coming back to Hawaii to visit. My husband has never been to a luau so we thought weā€™d play tourist and go. :) We were late to the luau, so the main parking for luau guests was full - so finding parking was a bit challenging - our fault. We arrived just in time for food so we missed the pre-dinner festivities, which I wasnā€™t disappointed about because it was plenty warm. This is what I really enjoyed: Food - local foods and quite tasty. My favorite was the potato mac salad, believe it or not. Brought back memories! Location - the setting right next to the amazing blue crashing waves was incredible! I loved seeing the beautiful ocean as the backdrop for the entertainment and watching the canoe races in the background was an extra treat for me! And of course, we were able to enjoy the sunset! Entertainment - I loved the music and the dancers! Reminded me of when I learned a bit of the hula when I was little. I was never good at it like my sisters though. I was a bit distracted by the amazing Koa wood carvings so I missed a bit of the fire dance. Oh well, what I saw was awesome! Oh - I did purchase an original carving of a Honu and canā€™t wait to get it in the mail!! Overall, it was a wonderful evening!

My most memorable moment was the performances. The food was average. No pig roasting thanks to Covid
