For those of us living on mainland US, our idea of the luau experience probably comes from movies or travel shows. This is not that kind of luau. This is a packaged tourist attraction that will give you an evening of entertainment, fun, and beautiful scenery. Think of it more as dinner theater with a beautiful view overlooking the water, rather than the authentic Hawaiian celebration of culture we've seen on screen. The performances were well-delivered, especially the fire dancers. You will definitely get some great pics and video. Unfortunately, our server did not provide the friendly Aloha experience we'd received during the rest of our trip. The food tasted basic and catered, not like what we ate at the local restaurants and farmers market. The parking fee is extra and the price of the attraction may deter some. But if you plan ahead and budget this into your tourist sightseeing itinerary, you can have a really good time with the right attitude & expectations.

We had so much fun! We learned a lot about the different Polynesian cultures and enjoyed a delicious dinner and beautiful dancing and music. My vegetarian husband was able to enjoy his meal with the vegetable options at the buffet. We sang the songs for days!

Unlimited Mai Tais, ok this, good hula and wonderful fire dancing. The luau is situated right over the water and the sunset is gorgeous. The beef teriyaki was great, the pork was ok. The fruit punch was pre-made in a bowl and I had bugs in every cup I tried. But it was a good show
