What To Expect

Arkansas River Tours

You will arrive are out Canon City location, check in with our friendly reservation staff, meet your guide for the day, be outfitted with necessary rafting gear, go through an in depth safety orientation and then hop on a van or bus for a short 5-10 min ride to the river put in

Royal Gorge Bridge and Park

Once you arrive at the river you will be given specific instructions by your guide and then hit the river for an amazing adventure. You will float through the world famous Royal Gorge! Amazing views of the Royal Gorge Bridge and amazing whitewater on this trip. This is the premiere trip on the Arkansas River!

On a Saturday, we went with 2 friends on the Bighorn Sheep Canyon half-day trip. Water was low at the end of the season, but still so much fun! Our guide, Jack, was a lot of fun and very knowledgable and helpful. The next day, we went on the Advanced Royal Gorge Whitewater Rafting trip, which was technically really challenging and so much fun and excitement! Our guide, Billy, was very knowledgable. He would tell us what to expect and what to do before a feature. Definitely recommend!!! Clarify: for beginners, Bighorn Sheep might be a stretch, and would not recommend Royal Gorge for first-timers.

While the actual rafting was nice, our guide (E-man) was terrible, as tourists doing rafting the first time, i don't think we should be subjected to down talking, humiliating & demeaning behavior by our tour guide, i left quite upset because of that, it seems like Eman is a bitter person and it was not fun AT ALL to be subject to his whining. also the way he treated my wife, (i.e. copying her expressions & demeanor) in a very not nice way was very upsetting.
