What To Expect

Arkansas River Tours

You will arrive are out Canon City location, check in with our friendly reservation staff, meet your guide for the day, be outfitted with necessary rafting gear, go through an in depth safety orientation and then hop on a van or bus for a short 5-10 min ride to the river put in

Royal Gorge Bridge and Park

Once you arrive at the river you will be given specific instructions by your guide and then hit the river for an amazing adventure. You will float through the world famous Royal Gorge! Amazing views of the Royal Gorge Bridge and amazing whitewater on this trip. This is the premiere trip on the Arkansas River!

The weather was cold and raining but the rafting was awesome! The staff was nice and met all of our needs. Our guide, Mike, was knowledgeable and made us feel safe in this advanced whitewater. He had interesting facts about the canyon and it was much more than just a float down the river. I recommend using ART for anyone wanting to have a great time rafting down the Arkansas River. -Rob from Wisconsin

I never been rafting before but after this experience, I’m hooked. I would recommend ART for anyone looking to have an amazing time on the water. Mike was top notch. He was funny yet serious about everyone’s safety. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history along the river. If you ever want to become a river rafting guide, you can certainly learn a thing or two from Mike. Yeee haw!

We had an awesome time on our float! I liked how we have the instructions given to us on the way to the put in spot which enabled us to get in the water quicker. Our guide, RonJon, was very knowledgeable and skilled. He knew jexactly where to point the boat and when to paddle to avoid getting stuck in the somewhat shallow waters unlike many of the other rafters from other companies. He was also knowledgeable in the history of the area and the geography. We had an excellent time and highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a great rafting experience.
