What To Expect

Arkansas River Tours

You will arrive are out Canon City location, check in with our friendly reservation staff, meet your guide for the day, be outfitted with necessary rafting gear, go through an in depth safety orientation and then hop on a van or bus for a short 5-10 min ride to the river put in

Royal Gorge Bridge and Park

Once you arrive at the river you will be given specific instructions by your guide and then hit the river for an amazing adventure. You will float through the world famous Royal Gorge! Amazing views of the Royal Gorge Bridge and amazing whitewater on this trip. This is the premiere trip on the Arkansas River!

We did the 2 day advanced rafting trip and could not recommend it more highly! We opted to camp 2 nights on the river and Arkansas River Tour (ART) was incredibly accommodating. Kyle was our guide and he did the best job keeping us entertained and safe while on the river. Everyone we met with ART were professional but fun, seemed genuinely happy we were there, and were excited to show us what they love about the area/river. Their enthusiasm was infectious. This was our first overnight rafting trip and I could not say enough positive things about our experience.

My 13 year old granddaughter and I just did the all day raft trip through the Royal Gorge and it was Fantastic ! It was our 2nd trip with ARTs and it was so exciting. Zack, our guide, was the best ! Extremely knowledgeable, professional and fun to be with. He really knows his job ! This time we bought the complete picture package. Wow, many great pics of the unbelievable scenery and action. Making such awesome memories with my granddaughter 😂 I highly recommend Arkansas River Tours for your family friendly rafting adventure! Thanks, John H

Water levels were very low - so had to be very technical with rowing to not bottom out. ZAC was very informative, helpful and had fun with our group. Never got stuck, and waited at the bottom of the rapids to help other rafting groups if needed. Saw a bighorn ewe and ram on the cliffs above on this trip. Remember - the earlier in the season, the higher the water levels are from snow melt, so plan accordingly. Changing accommodations were ok, bathrooms clean, friendly staff. Tip your guide - they earned it.
