What To Expect

Arkansas River Tours

You will arrive are out Canon City location, check in with our friendly reservation staff, meet your guide for the day, be outfitted with necessary rafting gear, go through an in depth safety orientation and then hop on a van or bus for a short 5-10 min ride to the river put in

Royal Gorge Bridge and Park

Once you arrive at the river you will be given specific instructions by your guide and then hit the river for an amazing adventure. You will float through the world famous Royal Gorge! Amazing views of the Royal Gorge Bridge and amazing whitewater on this trip. This is the premiere trip on the Arkansas River!

This was a great ride. Our guide, Ron John, was fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly, and always kept our safety in mind. The whole day trip was really exciting, but it's long so be prepared to feel those muscles the next day. I would definitely recommend this company and specifically, this rafting trip if you are in to adventure.

Cannot recommend ART enough. We had a group of 8 family members, so we split into 2 boats... our guide Ali was experienced, calm, and engaging. She made sure we knew in advance what to expect and provided interesting historic context as we moved through the gorge. Our two boats made it down the river safely and with great experiences. Would highly recommended this experienced team to anyone!

This was our 4th trip down the Arkansas River with ART, I have never encountered a guide that I did not like. We have had some exciting trips with a flipped raft and several swimmers on a class 5 rapid this past weekend, while not ideal situations, the guides at ART are very quick to react and to defuse the situation making sure that all of us are safe and back on the raft. I would highly recommend ART for your rafting needs. We will be back next year for sure!
