What To Expect

Arkansas River Tours

You will arrive are out Canon City location, check in with our friendly reservation staff, meet your guide for the day, be outfitted with necessary rafting gear, go through an in depth safety orientation and then hop on a van or bus for a short 5-10 min ride to the river put in

Royal Gorge Bridge and Park

Once you arrive at the river you will be given specific instructions by your guide and then hit the river for an amazing adventure. You will float through the world famous Royal Gorge! Amazing views of the Royal Gorge Bridge and amazing whitewater on this trip. This is the premiere trip on the Arkansas River!

Chip was awesome. He did a great job keeping us in the boat. Loved all his history recaps about the area. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. The rapids were great but not as wild as it's played up to be. The views are breath taking.

We just finished the all day rafting trip and can’t say enough good stuff about the adventure, our informative guide Ron Jon, the delicious lunch, and fun we had rafting down the beautiful Royal Gorge. The whole trip was exhilarating! We felt very safe with the guides: RJ, Marshall, Calvin, Kat, Ali and E-Man. ARC was professional and very responsive to questions we had prior to raft day. We’d highly recommend them for a great day out on the water, enjoying nature.

We had a great trip down the river. I had always wanted to ride the section of river under the Royal Gorge and I was not disappointed. Our guide, RonJohn was very helpful and entertaining. This was my second trip down the river with Arkansas River Tours and I wouldn't float with anyone else. Their boats and equipment are clean and in excellent condition. Very professional organization from top to bottom. I hope to ride the river with ART again soon! Paddle high five!!!
