What To Expect

Arkansas River Tours

You will arrive are out Canon City location, check in with our friendly reservation staff, meet your guide for the day, be outfitted with necessary rafting gear, go through an in depth safety orientation and then hop on a van or bus for a short 5-10 min ride to the river put in

Royal Gorge Bridge and Park

Once you arrive at the river you will be given specific instructions by your guide and then hit the river for an amazing adventure. You will float through the world famous Royal Gorge! Amazing views of the Royal Gorge Bridge and amazing whitewater on this trip. This is the premiere trip on the Arkansas River!

My wife, my college buddy, and myself originally wanted to do an easier trip but it was only running for parties of 6. The woman at ART reassured me that we would be fine even though we never rafted before. WOW. What an amazing day. WARNING, river was only 820cuft/sec and we've all go pretty extensive ocean kayak experience but it was 100% manageable for us. Our guide Austin was extremely knowledgeable about the area, the river, the rapids, and everything in between. He had a great attitude, was interesting to talk to, and did everything he could to make sure we had fun and got down the river safely at the same time. Highly recommend this trip!!! We were in Colorado for 10 days and this was definitely the best one.

We've been on a number of rafting trips and this one was the best of all. Beautiful scenery, exciting rapids, and an excellent guide. I think I enjoyed this trip because Calvin made me feel confident that if we all just followed his instructions, all would be well. And it was! He was friendly and kind and knowledgeable about the history of the area. He made it really enjoyable - thanks Calvin!
