Adventure Tour - Grand Canyon West Rim with Skywalk (ADV)

Overview

Travel by airplane directly to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon for a 10 minute helicopter ride to a plateau near the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

The next stop is the world famous Skywalk. This architectural marvel extends 65 feet over the edge of the Canyon, with its 4,000 foot depth right beneath your feet.

Just outside the Skywalk you will experience the Hualapai Indian Culture through Native American Performances (occasional) and an Indian Village with ancient dwellings constructed in the traditional methods by local tribes. This area of the Canyon, known as Eagle Point.

The next stop on the tour will be Guano Point. This location offers one of the most scenic places to enjoy lunch (provided with the tour) at an outdoor eating area on a plateau surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Grand Canyon. After your lunch, enjoy a leisurely walk along a trail that extends out into the Canyon and enjoy the spectacular views and photo opportunities

Money well spent. Wyatt was our pilot and he could not have done a better job of communicating, engaging and keeping us safe. A once in a lifetime bucket list trip worth every penny.

The trip started from PHX with a flight from Deer Valley Airport to Grand Canyon West a Airport. Westwind staff was awesome and accommodating. Airplane was ready to go when we arrived. Stephen our pilot did a very professional job as pilot and host and guide for the trip. Because there were only 4 in out group, we were fortunate to be able to fly in a smaller airplane with more options for customizing our trip on the fly. Upon arrival into West Grand Canyon airport, we took a Eurocopter to the canyon floor and and then a boat trip on the Colorado. Sundance staff and Hualapai hosts were awesome. The sights were fantastic. Return trip via helicopter the the airport and then to the Skywalk on the Hualapai reservation. Interesting engineering instruction. Fun to walk out over the canyon on a glass walkway. Then off to lunch at another location on the reservation near the canyon rim with fantastic views. Did some hiking along the rim and then returned to the airport for the flight back to PHX. What a day. The value for this trip was exceptional and having a small group with a personal host made the trip memorable. Defiantly recommend it to anyone. Tip - go on a Friday or Saturday when the crowds at the canyon are lower.

Awesome trip. Totally exceeded expectations. Steve the pilot was very cool. First class service all the way. Helicopter experience was surreal. Would book again.
