Adventure Tour - Grand Canyon West Rim with Skywalk (ADV)

Overview

Travel by airplane directly to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon for a 10 minute helicopter ride to a plateau near the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

The next stop is the world famous Skywalk. This architectural marvel extends 65 feet over the edge of the Canyon, with its 4,000 foot depth right beneath your feet.

Just outside the Skywalk you will experience the Hualapai Indian Culture through Native American Performances (occasional) and an Indian Village with ancient dwellings constructed in the traditional methods by local tribes. This area of the Canyon, known as Eagle Point.

The next stop on the tour will be Guano Point. This location offers one of the most scenic places to enjoy lunch (provided with the tour) at an outdoor eating area on a plateau surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Grand Canyon. After your lunch, enjoy a leisurely walk along a trail that extends out into the Canyon and enjoy the spectacular views and photo opportunities

Excellent day trip from Phoenix. See the Grand Canyon from the air, land, and water. Really immersive. Didn't need to worry about anything throughout the trip! Limited lunch options on the West Rim -bring food with you if you have dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian etc.).

Our trip was amazing and so fun. It was pretty windy and chilly while we were there but everything from meeting our tour company to the pilot, plane and helicopter ride to the pontoon boat and the skywalk was great. If there was any disappointment at all it was the skywalk. The skywalk is not as big as I expected from seeing professional pictures but it was still super fun.

Myself, wife and 8 yr old daughter did the Tour to celebrate my birthday. We had some hesitations prior regarding safety as we had our little one with us. We were reassured prior by the company and soon after meeting our pilot/guide Mark we felt very comfortable. The day was AMAZING. Long yes, and you will be tired at the end but even our daughter did fine due to a good night sleep the night before. Mark was terrific at keeping her involved and she told us at the end it was one of the coolest things she has done. The cost was fair, not cheap but personally I would be cautious of discount tour companies. The were informative, professional, and safety was a priority. If you want to see the West Rim from Phoenix this is the only way I would recommend to do it and you will be so happy you did.
