I think we went with the wrong outfit. They had no idea what we were talking about when we asked about water, snack or snorkel equipment. The address we followed had nothing marked so we went to the most logical place.. where we saw people loading into kayaks. They wanted to charge for snorkel rental luckily I had my own

My husband enjoyed the kayaking tour on this beautiful bay away from the Kailua-Kona scene. The water was smooth and it was not too windy in the bay. The snorkeling site near Captain Cook was a bit crowded, but fortunately it was a weekday. The guide gave historical details re Captain Cook Monument which added to the experience.

Kayaking Kealakekua Bay and snorkeling at the Captain Cook Monument is one of the most popular activities in all the Hawaiian Islands. Don't miss it! Glad you joined us for this once in a lifetime experience with experienced and "patient" guides. Appreciate you letting us know how much you appreciated their efforts.
