The bus was on time and up to date in terms of comfort. It actually had two tables in the front where passengers could eat facing each other. The tour was guided and at each stop the group leader got off and discussed the background information of each Memorial. Places such as, Frederick Douglass home, the African American Civil War Memorial, Howard University, and entry passes to the National Museum of African American History and Culture are not included in other tours. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would enjoy it again on a return visit.

a lot of information, too much for a child to absorb, the crowds were overwhelming, they stood in one spot bottle necking, the flow of people. it was hard to proceed. they need to find a way to move the people along together, perhaps a guided tour.

I would recommend this tour which I took on August 17th to everyone. First class. Now that that's out of the way, the tour director left much to be desired. First, she showed up at 9:32 when the tour was to depart at 9:30. Of course, she also had to take 10 minutes to get organized. Next, she did not use any sound equipment but instead merely talked in a conversational voice for most of the tour. This might have been fine for the first three rows of the bus but not for the majority of us. There were many comments from the folks around me that they just gave up listening to her. And finally, as a former university history professor, I could tell that many of her facts were not entirely accurate meaning that she hasn't performed due diligence in learning all the details. Again, I will highly recommend this tour to acquaintances but I just hope they get a different guide.
