This was a good, informative tour. I enjoyed visiting Lincoln Park. Maybe the time of going to the actual museum would have been helpful.

Our tour leader was fine and knowable, but when he handed out our tickets to the Museum they were for the wrong month so we couldn’t get in!!!! We had to beg the museum staff to allow us entry. Very BAD customer service. A little more attention to detail would have helped. If it wasn’t for the kindness of the museum staff it would have been a total disaster!!!!!!

An honest review. This tour states African American but it really is misleading. You do the normal stops, Capital Building, White House, Lincoln Memorial, etc and maybe an African help build it. More like a side note. Expected to see Fredrick Douglas house, never saw or even mentioned him as the tour states you would visit. But the tour started late, went to the Capital Building and went back to start to pick up late tourists which cut our tour down by a half an hour at least because we didn't get to go to the African American cemetery in the Shaw-Howard district. No bottled water, we were rushed a little but did get entry to the African American Museum. If you have never been to DC this tour might be ok for you but if you been before and was looking for something special this ain't the one. The low rating is based off the misleading title of the tour. Also, the tour guide talks fast so pay attention. I believe because it's rehearsed.
