My boyfriend and I went on a beautiful sail ride yesterday with Captain Jim. It was a pleasure from beginning to end and I would recommend this relaxing afternoon to anyone. I wanted to go again for the sunset cruise and maybe I will before my vacation is over. Thank you Jim!! You have a beautiful boat.

Many thanks for your generous review! Our tours have a lot of help from all the coastal birds, marine life and beautiful scenery along the shoreline. The conversations remain the best part of every cruise. Thanks so much for appreciating the special experience we strive for every time we drop the lines and head to sea. Best regards, Captain Jim

We had an outstanding afternoon sail and the weather was almost perfect. The light breeze was comfortable but not quite enough to propel the sailboat without a bit of engine help. Captain Jim was very knowledgeable about the wildlife, the formation of sand bars and islands and the local area. Most gracious host. Getting on and off the sailboat from his dinghy might be a little challenging for some older or mobility challenged persons.

Thanks Greg for your outstanding and descriptive review. The weather was as close to perfection as any sailor can expect. I'm hoping for 15 knots of wind next time you are on deck. Until the next adventure, Captain Jim

I can't really "rate" the sailing experience because a potential rainstorm (it happened!) forced a cancellation. That was a disappointment (we had guests from the West Coast), but we were given plenty of notice and offered a choice of a postponed trip or a refund. So we'll try again with the same company the next time we have visitors; they handled everything so thoughtfully and professionally!

Thanks for your thoughtful comments on how we managed the tropical storm Colin situation over July 4th weekend. I love sharing the NC coastline sailing experience with guests visiting Wilmington. To have locals and their guests onboard SV/Shamrock is a pure joy. I look forward to sailing with you guys in the near future. We're open during the fall season when temperatures and tropical systems less frequent. Until then, Best regards, Captain Jim
