Drive your own sled-dog team with 4 time Iditarod winner Dallas Seavey's team of mushers, handlers and champion dogs on real snow in the middle of summer surrounded by amazing scenery. Start this adventure with a helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and goats. Land on a huge snow eld high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with champion sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer. Take the dog team for an exhilarating ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush your own dog team or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team. After your dogsled tour meet the canine athletes that pulled your sled, listen to stories about running sled dog races of over a 1,000 miles long, and of course take pictures with your favorite dogs. After the tour the helicopter takes you back to the lodge and you’ll fly over the lower glaciers where you can see the blue melt pools and the crevasses.

This was my first time in a helicopter and thanks to Pilot Steven, it was an awesome ride!!! Had such a great time visiting Sled Dog Camp and getting to lead a team. Landing the copter on and getting to walk on Knik Glacier was simply exhilarating. I highly recommend Alaska Helicopter Tours.

This excursion was absolutely amazing!!! It combined two glacier stops into one magnificent excursion. We departed in a helicopter with Sean, our Pilate, who was wonderful and did a great job navigating and giving us details about the glacier. We landed for a dog sledding adventure ride which was excellent. Julia chose and led our dog sled team! Such an awesome experience and the dogs were so friendly, well behaved and loved. We had a second landing and got to do a glacier walk and drink glacier water. The color blue on the glacier is gorgeous. Everyone we dealt with was polite, courteous and went out of their way to make this an unforgettable experience for us. They also took lots of photos. Many thanks!
