Alaska Helicopter and Glacier Dogsled Tour - ANCHORAGE AREA

Overview
The most popular tour! Drive your own sled-dog team with 4 time Iditarod winner Dallas Seavey's team of mushers, handlers and champion dogs on real snow in the middle of summer surrounded by amazing scenery. Start this adventure with a helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and goats. Land on a huge snow eld high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with champion sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer. Take the dog team for an exhilarating ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush your own dog team or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team. After your dogsled tour meet the canine athletes that pulled your sled, listen to stories about running sled dog races of over a 1,000 miles long, and of course take pictures with your favorite dogs. After the tour the helicopter takes you back to the lodge and you’ll fly over the lower glaciers where you can see the blue melt pools and the crevasses.

My wife and I signed up for the dog sledding helicopter tour. The day and staff left us speechless and satisfied with the experience! Special shout out to the following folks who made the experience as enjoyable as it was: Connor - our helicopter pilot, who was very nice and informative during our fly over. Martha - met us as soon as we landed to greet us and took the time to get to know us both. Emily - rode with us during the dog sledding encounter. She was extremely pleasant and excited to tell us all about the dogs and mushing ins and outs. Issac - who spent time introducing us to all the dogs and answering all of our questions with excitement! Thank you Alaskan Helicopter Tours!! This was definitely the highlight of our alaskan vacation!!! 10/10 stars. Will recommend to anybody & anyone.

This was one of the best trips my husband and I have ever done! Brandon was our pilot. He was awesome! The flying Hawaiian took great care of us and offered information about where we were going and history about the area. Isaac and his team at the dog camp were so passionate about their care of the sled dogs, we had no choice but to be in absolute awe of what they can do! And who would have thought there would be a dog camp on a glacier! A true once in a lifetime opportunity!

This trip was a blast! Meeting all the snow dogs was such an amazing experience. The staff who trained the dogs were very knowledgeable and sweet. Then we landed on the lower glacier and what a view!!! Our pilot Connor B was very knowledgeable about the area and pointed wildlife out as we flew. Just beautiful !!!! 100% would recommend this trip!
