Alaska Helicopter Tour with Glacier Landing - 60 mins - ANCHORAGE AREA

Overview
Taking off from the Alaska Glacier Lodge in the Mat-Su Valley to the Knik Glacier (5 miles wide by 29 miles long!). We land right in the middle of the Knik Glacier, where you can get out of the helicopter and spend about 30 minutes on ice thousands of years old with your pilot/guide. We provide ice spikes for you to safely hike on the ice Take pictures of the blue lakes on top of the glacier, crevasses and ice ‘sculptures’ made by wind, sunshine & time. (Summer)
TRANSFERS FROM ANCHORAGE If you do not have a rental car we can provide transfer service from Anchorage to our location (45 mins North of Anchorage ) for an added fee for select tour times. Call us direct to schedule!
WINTER TOURS please note that this tour in some winter months may not land directly on top of the glacier due to snow cover and safety issues, landing may be on the side next to incredible deep blue ice formations (an equally spectacular experience)

We booked last minute as we were in Anchorage for a friend’s bday party. What an incredibly wonderful experience! Jeff was our incredibly awesome pilot/guide, and Bernie, his co-pilot, was an absolute joy! We were the only people on an ancient glacier-the silence and stillness was so special.

Thanks for the kind words. So glad you got to experience the glacier and the solitude in our magical winter season. Come see us in summer sometime and we'll do the glacier in short sleeves :-)

It was an intimate 3 pax tour for us as it's non-peak. We had a really good view of the glacier and it's surrounding woods. Saw numerous moose and had ample time on the glacier to take photos. It was certainly worth every dollar as it's private and up closed. There was no one else there other than our helicopter. Highly recommended!

Flying over glaciers has been in my bucket list and am glad I was able to check it off during our Alaska trip. The company is very professional- communicating thru email, text and calls with updates. We were originally scheduled to fly on a Weds but was rescheduled due to high winds. Peter gave us updates and worked with our schedule as we have booked other tours as well. Finally, we got to fly on Thurs. We drove to Knik lodge and was welcomed warmly by our very own pilot Jared. He briefed us with safety stuff and then flew. Very informative during the flight. It was amazing and surreal! Landing on the Knik Glacier was absolutely unbelievable! I would recommend this tour if you want to experience a National Geographic moment! Thank you Alaska Helicopters!
