How to get to Denali National Park? There’s no finer way to arrive than aboard Alaska Railroad’s flagship train, the Denali Star. Passengers especially appreciate the panoramic views, as on a clear day the route offers incredible views of the train’s namesake peak: Denali, the tallest mountain in North America. We recommend that passengers made advance reservations for accommodations at the Park, as it is not possible to get to and from Denali from Anchorage by rail in the same day. A return rail journey from Denali to Anchorage may be booked separately for a subsequent day.

We actually went from Seward part way to Anchorage one day and then from Anchorage to Denali another day. The scenery is beautiful and I would love to do the whol journey from Fairbanks to Seward which I understand is a 12 hours journey. The food was wonderful and we coudln't believe how good the service was on both of the trips.

The train is comfortable. The food and service were excellent. You can’t beat the scenery. If you are going to Denali, take this train.

Lots of sightings of wildlife, because of the glass view car. Excellent lunch, great commentary while on board. Nice people to talk to. Items available to purchase as souvenirs!
