As part of our (Royal Caribbean) land-sea tour package, we took this train from Fairbanks to Denali National Park. It was a great way to see the Alaskan countryside while traveling. Our vehicle was the "Wilderness Express" private dome car wherein the top level was for observation, and the lower level was for dining. Dining is a reasonable option; the prices are no more than the other eateries in Alaska - but be advised, they operate on plastic only. NOTE: This train runs from Fairbanks to Anchorage (both ways). I recommend going to their website for more detailed information, including pricing.
