What To Expect

Alcatraz Island

Once you take the ferry over to Alcatraz Island and you are dropped off, you will make your way up to the main prison building, where you receive an audio headset, and the audio tour will guide you through the Alcatraz Prison. Once the audio tour is over, you can continue taking pictures and exploring the Island, or you can walk back down to the ferry landing and hop on the next ferry headed back to San Francisco. The Alcatraz tour typically takes 2-3 hours to enjoy.

Had to visit this infamous place. Once arrived we were introduced to a ranger that gave us the do’s and don’t about the island. We were then directed to the tour which was very informative and what a place. If you can research the rock please do do especially the Indian occupation as this is never mentioned on any documentary that I have seen, I may have missed it Once on the rock you would not be disappointed from start to finish. This placed is full of history that is waiting to be explored,

This tour was awesome! Got to see the cell blocks, solitary confinement. You could walk as much as you wanted and stay as long as you wanted. Just catch the next ferry. Hand held device told the story. Viator is a one man owner and he’s really great to do business with.
